Do I need to have artistic skills or experience?
No artistic skills or experience are necessary! Color Me Mine is a welcoming space for beginners and experienced artists alike. Our knowledgeable staff is here to assist and inspire you throughout the process, ensuring a fun and stress-free painting experience.
Can I bring my family and friends?
Absolutely! Color Me Mine is the perfect destination for quality time with your loved ones. We encourage families, friends, and groups of all sizes to join us and create lasting memories together. It’s a fantastic activity for birthdays, family outings, team-building events, and more.
How long does it take to complete a project?
The time required to complete a project varies depending on the size and complexity of the piece. On average, painting a pottery piece takes around 1-2 hours. However, there’s no rush—take your time and enjoy the process at your own pace.
What happens after I finish painting?
Once you’re done painting, you will leave your masterpiece with our staff. We’ll hand dip your pottery in a clear glaze and fire the pottery in our kiln – at a whopping 1828 degrees! – transforming it into a durable, food-safe, and vibrant ceramic piece. We will text the phone number you provide when your finished artwork is ready for pick-up in about 7-10 days.
I need it sooner than 7-10 days. Is that possible?
If you need to pickup your project sooner than our 7-10 day turnaround, we do offer rush orders for an additional fee of $8 per ceramic. Rush orders are hand-dipped the next day and promptly placed into our kilns for firing right away. Rush orders are guaranteed to be ready within four days, and we will promptly notify you once your item is bagged and ready for pickup!
How long is pottery held for? Do you ship?
Finished pottery must be picked up within 45 days from the date they were painted, as indicated on your purchase receipt, due to our limited storage capacity. If needed, we do offer shipping services through USPS Priority Mail for an additional fee.
Do I need a reservation at Color Me Mine Freehold?
While we do have plenty of tables available for walk-in guests, these tables are on a first-come-first-serve basis. We recommend making a reservation online to guarantee a table. A $10 deposit for table reservation will secure your spot and will be deducted at the time of checkout. Reservation slots are allocated for a 2-hour duration, and we kindly request that you arrive at the beginning of your reserved time to ensure a relaxing paint experience! There is a 15-minute grace period for all reservations before the table is made available to other guests.
What is the pricing of Color Me Mine Freehold?
Our pricing is the cost of the ceramic(s) that you choose to paint plus a studio fee of $10 per painter which includes unlimited paints, supplies, and glazing+firing in our kilns. Pottery pieces start at $15. Most of our ceramics range in price from $24-$40, depending on the size of the piece.
What discounts does Color Me Mine Freehold offer?
We offer a variety of weekly discounts, which can be viewed on our monthly calendar. Daily specials cannot be combined with any other offers, events, or parties. We highly recommend making a reservation online to guarantee a table! A $10 deposit for table reservation will secure your spot and will be deducted at the time of checkout.
Can I bring alcohol into the studio?
Color Me Mine Freehold does not have a liquor license, therefore, we are not permitted to serve or sell any alcohol. BYOB is permitted (wine and malt alcoholic beverages only). Distilled spirits and any alcoholic beverage other than beer or wine are prohibited.
How many people can I include in my reservation?
A maximum of 8 people can be included in a reservation. To make a reservation for 9 or more people, please call the studio at (732) 78-7811 to verify availability. We can accommodate up to 25 painters in our private party room, subject to availability. *For any parties of 8 or more, an automatic 15% gratuity will be applied.
Can I purchase a to-go kit and paint at home?
Certainly! We can wrap up any piece(s) of your choice along with your chosen paint colors. The cost is the price of the pottery chosen plus a $10 paint fee per ceramic which includes five colors and glazing/firing. If you require extra colors or brushes, we can provide them for an additional fee. It’s important to note that ceramics must be painted using the provided underglaze paints if you intend to bring them back for glazing and firing. Unfortunately, we cannot fire ceramics painted with acrylics, glitter, markers, etc.
Are your paints non-toxic?
All of our paints are non-toxic and water based. Our paints do not stain and come out of clothing easily with water. When your painted piece is glazed & fired, it becomes food-safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
Do you have items for babies and toddlers?
Toddlers have fun making their own masterpieces with plenty of supervision. We offer a discount on Mini Mondays for kids under 5 yrs old since they tend to paint really fast and we don’t want you to miss the fun! Another option is print keepsakes! We will help you stamp your little ones’ hands/feet onto your favorite piece to create a beautiful keepsake that will last forever.
Can I host special events at Color Me Mine?
Absolutely! Color Me Mine is a fantastic venue for special events. Whether it’s a birthday party, team-building activity, bridal shower, baby shower, or any other occasion, our studio can accommodate groups of all sizes. Click here to view our current event packages and availability.

Where are you located?
We are located inside the Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, NJ. Our studio is on the second level of the mall, in the Primark wing. The nearby parking lots to our studio are the Cheesecake Factory parking lot and the Primark parking lot.

Is there any age limit to paint pottery?
Everyone is welcome at our pottery painting studio! Little ones may paint quickly, but love expressing their creativity. Our paints are non-toxic and lead free. Perfect for hand and foot prints! Everyone is an artist at Color Me Mine!
